Kamo is a slice of Tokyo in the heart of Ixelles. The wood-rich, pared back interior combines a contemporary feel with a serene vibe. From the bar you can witness firsthand the meticulous artistry of chef Kamo, who starts by inviting you to sample an appetiser to cleanse your palate. You are now all set to experience the finesse of Japanese culinary tradition. Chef Kamo's deceptively minimalist dishes showcase the extraordinary quality and freshness of his ingredients. He does not rely on luxury produce to wow his diners. Chazuke, a signature dish, consists of wafer-thin slices of seabream, encircled by a rich sauce of grilled sesame seeds, nori leaves and just the right amount of wasabi, while a stock of smoked kombu adds a gutsy dimension, perfect to mix with Japanese rice. His talent for simply enhancing raw fish is truly out of this world! Lunch is slightly more traditional and includes made-to-order sushi. In the evenings, the chef pulls out all the stops courtesy of surprise tasting menus. Kamo's authentic subtlety celebrates and pays tribute to the versatility of Japanese cuisine.
