Melrose is certainly one of the more attractive Borders towns and Provender has become a part of its fabric now. Situated down a passageway just off the main street, it's a versatile place – offering everything from mid-morning eggs Benedict and other brunch favourites to a celebratory dinner kicked off with Cumbrae oysters. Binding it all together is great use of ingredients from the local estates and producers, be it fish from the North Sea or crab and scallops caught off the coast of Orkney.
