The historic Kvadraturen quarter plays host to many 16th- and 17th-century buildings, as well as this traditional, French-inspired restaurant with a dark-hued terrace overlooking the City Hall Square. Inside, it has a vintage brasserie feel courtesy of parquet flooring, banquette seating, globe lamps and a marble-topped bar – and the cooking follows suit. Classic Gallic dishes such as oysters, French onion soup and côte de bœuf lead the way, complemented by some Nordic elements such as bleak roe, beef tartare and pickled herring. Seafood is a speciality and the wine list is worth exploring.
