A hat shop in the old part of Toulon has been turned into this compact, convivial restaurant. Francesco, a chef from Milan who has been living in France for many years, serves "gastronomie de rue" (elevated street food), a fusion of Latin American, North African and Asian flavours. In the small dining space enlivened by red and white check tablecloths or at the tables on the pedestrianised street, tuck into colourful dishes infused with spices: cod, smoked garlic cream, cockles and chorizo; beef consommé and carpaccio, noodles and fresh herbs.
