The largest creek on Fraser Island flows into the Coral Sea at Seventy-Five Mile Beach, discharging some four million litres of clear, fresh water an hour. A boardwalk has been built along its last hundred metres so that visitors can go back upstream to bathe, allowing themselves to slide along with the current, whether swimming or clinging to an inflatable. But be aware that Eli Creek is as overcrowded as it is idyllic.
