Restored from head to toe, the iconic Haussmannian Louvre Post Office building is also home to a luxury hotel, whose restaurant is helmed by chef Stéphanie le Quellec. The menu is divided into culinary themes (healthy, veggie, etc) rather than the usual starter/main course/dessert format and the focus is definitely on no-nonsense pleasure! The dishes speak for themselves: ripe juicy tomatoes, herb sorbet; slow-cooked shoulder of lamb, za’atar, tajine veg; rice pudding. The classy interior boasts impossibly high ceilings emblematic of a swanky late-19C brasserie.
