COB is an acronym for “Cooking Outside the Box”, an excellent description of the cuisine served at this restaurant. Situated in the upper part of Portorož, with stunning views of Pirano bay, plus an interior which combines modern, minimalist design with a 100-year-old wood-burning stove. Chef Filip Matjaž creates original and personalised dishes full of Istrian flavours, which are showcased on tasting menus that demonstrate the chef’s love for his region. The approach here is to create reinterpreted recipes which are imaginative and full of surprises.
