Set on the banks of the Loire, this inn, refurbished in a tasteful modern vein, is the haunt of Marie and Fabien Raux (he did a stint at Strasbourg’s 1741). The chef proposes dishes in the zeitgeist, curated into a single set menu in which deftly crafted seasonal local produce, e.g., summer tomatoes, pike-perch from the Loire, lamb, rabbit, takes pride of place. Simple, flavoursome dishes served in a buzzy atmosphere. In summer, head for the terrace shaded by linden trees in the garden.
