This old farmhouse radiates all the charm of the peaceful hamlet of Zandoerle – diners will particularly enjoy the welcome given by the ducks. Inside, the hushed and intimate ambience combines rusticity with modern elegance. They may be young, but chef Chiel and maître d' Laura bring a wealth of talent and experience to the table, delivering cuisine that reflects their youthful enthusiasm. Although he draws primarily on French cuisine tradition, the chef likes to add his own twist, serving dishes in a series of small plates. Think candied lamb, alongside a lamb shoulder stew (with a wonderfully intense jus!) and a medium-rare rack of lamb. The palpable sense of ambition at Le Sable makes it all the more appealing.
