Situated on Vrhovec hill in a residential area not far from the city centre, this restaurant run by the Miletić family seems more like a private home than a conventional restaurant. There’s no menu – instead, whatever dishes the kitchen has prepared that day are announced at your table. Options often include fish carpaccio or tartare, fresh scampi from the Adriatic and locally reared meat, all served in traditional recipes that are generous both in flavour and portion size. Sharing dishes is normal practice here, which adds to the enjoyment of the experience. The wines are from Croatia or its near neighbours – again, there’s no wine list but staff are happy to make recommendations.
